For this American Thanksgiving Weekend, Sundays With Dan presents a classic sundae the whole family can enjoy: The Hot Caramel Sundae!
1 ½ cups brown sugar.
1/3 cups corn syrup.
1/3 cups water.
1 tablespoon butter.
½ teaspoon vanilla.
¼ teaspoon baking soda.
Vanilla ice cream, softened.
¾ cup of whipped cream.
In a saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
Heat to boiling over medium heat, reduce hear and cook until heated through.
Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla and baking soda.
Serve warm over the vanilla ice cream. Top with whipped cream.
